The lily-of-the-valley is one of my favourite flowers. Maybe it’s that cute petals open-in-day-light and closed-in-no-light routine that they do, otherwise known as nyctinasty. Or wait, is that another flower? And the one pictured above? No idea, I’ll find out later.
My dog’s name is Cherry. She gets a lot of compliments each time I take her for a walk. What do I get? Sweaty. My dog looks better than me, so I’m the equivalent of a garden bush that looks so ordinary no one really notices it, unless it catches fire or something.
I encountered witch hazel for the first time at Cootes Paradise in March of this year. This nature sanctuary in Burlington is one of my favourite places to go for a long walk and take pictures. There was a cold breeze. Everything was grey. Not a splash of colour could be seen throughout the entire park, except for the numerous red cardinals perched amid the trees.
I love pistachios. Especially salted pistachios. So how about some pistachio dark chocolate with sea salt? It should go nicely with a cup of delicious coffee. No recipe here sorry. Just photos taken with a shutter speed of 125.
Meet Mr. Roger pictured above, kicking back in a chair. Mr. Roger is having trouble finding his “true hat”. A true hat is a hat that he could sleep in and feel cozy all night. A hat that will make him feel complete. A hat that’s even better than a slice of buttered up toast with triple cream brie on the side for breakfast.
