Sunset Melody

I enjoy watching a nice sunset. The one featured above was taken in Oakville, Ontario from my apartment balcony. My goal was to capture the color, texture and light as best I could. If only the powerlines weren’t in the way.

Anyway, here’s a sunset ballad for you:

I stepped onto my balcony,
Wishing I was in Calgary,
Studying advanced falconry,
Learning complex alchemy,
Relieve me of this agony,
I’m trapped in a fantasy.

I then saw the sunset,
Forgot the alphabet,
Misplaced my baguette,
Burned my omelette,
Declined a trip to Tibet,
Ignored a hot brunette.

The sky was so nice,
I felt close to paradise,
To be more precise,
Better than fried rice,
A delicious pizza slice,
Or Jamaican allspice.

If you are in Oakville,
Stuck near a windmill,
The one by an anthill,
Forget the wind chill,
Disregard the phone bill,
Turn on your freewill,
Come join me uphill.
